Vehicle Stuck In Tunnel: There’s a PANYNJ Procedure For That

No driver or bus passenger wants to think about having their vehicle break down in a tunnel—or being stuck behind a stalled vehicle. However, it can—and does—happen. It’s good to know that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has a formalized procedure for resolving the situation. Using the Lincoln Tunnel as an example, Steve Coleman, a Port Authority spokesman, spoke to NJ Advance Media on the steps the Port Authority takes to find and assess the problem and then determine and implement the best way to fix it.
